About Me

Meet Francesca

Hi! I’m Francesca, a junior high history teacher and adjunct professor from California. I love teaching people how to travel on their budget and use the world as their classroom.

I caught the travel bug at a young age when my parents decided they wanted me to visit all 50 states before I graduated high school. My travel did not stop there as my mom provided me with opportunities to continue traveling and explore the world. Ultimately, in college, I studied abroad in Salzburg, Austria and after that experience, I knew that I not only would be a traveler for life but that I could find great deals to help me do so. I have now been to all 50 states and 66 countries across 7 continents.

As a teacher, I get a considerable amount of time off each year. However, most of my time off is during the peak seasons of travel. Thus, I have to plan and budget to stretch my dollars as far as they can go. I often see which destinations I can find the best deals to and that is where I end up on vacation. Follow along for tips, tricks, and advice for seeing the world on an educator’s budget!

This blog focuses on California, the PNW, National Parks, and mid-range travel to foreign countries, with a little bit of wine thrown in.
