Barista Brew Coffee and Tea is a small drive-through coffee shop near the airport. They have some fun special coffees along with all the classics. It is one of the best coffee shops in Portland thanks to being near the airport.
Black Rock

Black Rock is another chain coffee shop but has some amazing drinks for a fair price. These shops are a bit larger and also often serve light bites to eat as well. It is a great place to grab a light breakfast before heading out for the day.

Case Study Coffee has several locations across Portland. They offer a lot of seasonal blends and have a homemade chai mix that is delicious. Most of them are pretty spacious so they make for a great place to do work as well making them one of the best coffee shops in Portland.
Coava Coffee Roasters

Coava might be my favorite of the coffee shops in Portland. Their menu is super small but the coffee and flavors are amazing. What I love is that they use almond milk or oat milk. Each beverage is handcrafted and brewed fresh.
Dutch Bros

Another major chain, Dutch Bros is for those who like their coffee sugary sweet. They have an extensive menu and tons of fun seasonal drinks. Most of the locations are drive-through! Dutch Bros also has a lot of non-coffee choices as well.
Good Coffee

Good Coffee is exactly how it sounds… It has good coffee! The vibe is super laid back and open. They have a typical coffee shop menu but also have rotating seasonal specials. In summertime you will see a lot of citrus and lavender drinks. They even have a location in the airport!
40 LBS Coffee Roasters

40 LBS Coffee Roasters is conveniently located in Downtown Portland close to the world’s smallest park. They partner with a lot of local companies to get their beans but specialize in their pour-over and cold brew coffees. It makes for one of the best coffee shops in Portland.
Java Man Coffee

Java Man Coffee is another small coffee shop located in Downtown Portland. Its convenient location makes it easy to grab a cup before heading out on a day of exploration. They have some fun flavors and drinks and the best latte I have ever had! Java Man may be one of the best coffee shops in Portland, but they also serve some really delicious donuts.

Stumptown is a Portland staple thus making it one of the best coffee shops in Portland. It is one of the first smaller coffee shops later turned into a chain in Portland. They are quite well known along the west coast and have expanded to several locations.

Brewed Awakenings

Brewed Awakenings has been around since 1989 in the Portland area. They offer various roasts from around the world and fresh pastries daily. With several locations in Vancouver, it is easy to pop in and grab one of their unique pastries and a coffee.
Kafiex Roasters Coffee Lab

Kafiex Roasters is conveniently located in Downtown Vancouver. It is the perfect place to stop to grab a coffee before wandering around downtown or exploring the farmers market. You can even make a quick stop here before heading to Downtown Portland.
Madhouse Coffee Co.

Madhouse Coffee is the place to go if you want fun and unique coffee drinks. They have a large food menu as well. I recommend grabbing one of their specials or opting for a blended drink, especially when it is hot out.

Thatcher’s Coffee might be my favorite coffee shop in Vancouver. It is a local and women-owned business that opened in 2010. They have a ton of fun coffee beverages and all are made from organic and locally sourced ingredients.
Other Best Coffee Shops In Portland
Other coffee shops in Portland that I have not visited but have heard have good coffee are Presso Coffee Bar, Night Owl Roasters, Compass Coffee, and Pip’s Original Donuts and Chai.
If you are a big coffee lover, I highly recommend taking a Coffee and Donuts food tour. This way you can sample a lot of the local coffee options in one go.
Other Things to do in the Portland Area
When visiting the PNW you cannot go wrong stopping at some of the best coffee shops in Portland. Portland also has a ton of delicious places to eat and bars to stop at. Make sure not to miss Distillery Row and the Willamette Valley.
